instant updates check out entries Thursday, October 2, 2008 a year i had lots of crazy fun in a new environment, a year i've been away from my previous "playground". i was then, i little ignorance kid, fooled by my little achievements now im back to earn more cash while learning the things i missed out previously. it was a random decision though. the same(s) as a year ago: - im still a promoter for Philips LCD monitors - have the same strict-looking boss - working in the same building - always late for work - the kopitiam still sells the same good food the difference(s) from a year ago: - demand change, market going for bigger widescreens - the prices are much more competitive - competitiors brands gaining popularity - has a new supervisor, benny - more $$$ rolling in! i guess i made a dramatic comeback! return to work for the Comex show then disappeared for 3 months. well, i was preparing for the trip to pangkor island, later the maths carnival and eventually fell ill. dave (one of the dealers) ask if i heard some stuff, that why i go away. he told me that my follow colleagues said i changed, the dealers too.. they said i become more mature, along with the way i speak. at least you dont see me jumping around like a monkey. i guess it is a compliment. but i shant take his words too seriously, they aint all the time true. oh yar, i heard about this curse in the dealer shop where im located. it was impossible for them to sell more than 3 sets on a weekend or PH. im shocked seriously. i could easily sell at least 5 sets on a weekend or PH a year ago, something is wrong out there. i am then determine to break this curse.. last weekend was bad, the curse came true. sold 3 sets on saturday and only 1 pathetic set on sunday, could have went bonkers for that. not for now, times has changed. on sunday, i barely spoke to 10 seems-to-be interested buyers, half of them told me "they will discuss it with their children at home and come back again". oh well, there goes another one. still i'm grateful that i have at least 10 person to talk to, that kills all kind of boreness and time flies faster that way. and finally, i made it on children's day! the crowd came later around 3-4pm. slowly yet steadily i close my deals. some were convinced by my sales speech, some were just too spolit for choices but gave me their support, my dealers helped me too. i broke that curse with a record of 5 sets. i will be back for more! there would be nothing to rejoice for if i am always late. at least i reach earlier than the previous time.
